The weeds shown below compete with other plants for essential resources such as sunlight, water and nutrients. They can also outcompete cultivated plants, leading to stunted growth of garden plants.
To keep these weeds from spreading, we put them in the bad weed corral not the composting area. The corral is in the southwest corner of the garden. From the corral, we put these weeds into composting bins, which are picked up by the city for proper disposal.
